Since Yoozoo Games launched its “Global Initiative” in 2013, with the vision to “set the bar for entertainment worldwide,” it has been making forays into foreign gaming markets with the League of Angels series, Junior Three Kingdoms, Legacy of Discord-Furious Wings and many other successful titles that earned recognitions worldwide. In March of this year, Yoozoo established a subsidiary in Pune, India. This was the company’s second major international move, following the acquisition of Bigpoint, a renowned game developer in Europe.

Less than a year into its history, Yoozoo’s Indian branch has been active, having released the casual card game, TeenPatti, and recently announced a collaboration with KAMA Games to design a brand new poker game aimed at Indian players. Previously, the subsidiary’s CEO, Anuj Tandon, indicated in an interview that the branch will not be limited only to light casual games, but will attempt to gradually introduce RPGs and strategy games of medium complexity to the Indian market.

India, an important emerging market, is now experiencing a proliferation of smart phones and ever-decreasing Internet fees, which contribute to the popularity of mobile games among the younger crowd. Yoozoo CPO Zhang Lei said the company valued the great potential of India’s mobile games market and wished to improve communication as well as share experience with industry colleagues in India through this year’s NGDC, promoting interactive entertainment and contributing to the growth of the gaming industry in India together.
